Representatives from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) invited ACTION researchers to their quarterly technical exchange with the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) on the security and resilience of cyber-physical-human systems, with a special eye towards critical infrastructures.

The meeting occurred on March 10-11 at the International Computer Science Institute (ICSI) at UC Berkeley. ACTION researchers included UCSB professor Joao Hespanha and his PhD student Sean Anderson. Matthew Lau, a PhD student from Georgia Tech also attended. In addition to presentations on the current and future directions of ACTION's GATE framework, agenda items included sessions on modeling cyber-physical-human systems and research on digital twins.

The exchange serves as another example of ACTION's outreach and coordination across silos, working together to interface with NSF Sphere, DHS, LLNL, and other external academics.
